Joyce Hicks Cash, 81, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.

A native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Henry Ernest Hicks and Elizabeth Dickerson Hicks. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Burlington Industries.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Darry Whitlow. Burial will be in South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem.

Surviving is a daughter, Diane Cash Oakley of Butner; a son, Duwonie E. Cash (Debra) of Fairfax, Virginia; a sister, Mary Ann Barger of Durham; four grandchildren, Stacy Asycue (David), Haven Stallings (Chip), Crystalee Hagen (Brendan) and Damien Cash; five great-grandchildren, Ashley Tatum, Trevor Dowdy, Everett Hagen, Kellan Hagen and Hogan Stallings. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Junious Cash and son-in-law, Jerry Oakley, two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 12:30-2:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times the home of her daughter.
